Ten Best Crime Movies In Ever

In the ranking of the magazine “free movies online“, was released 10 best crime movies in the history of cinema. Here they are.

10th Place

Carlito’s Way (1993)

Carlito Brigante is released from jail after serving five years of a much longer stretch. He vows to go straight and to live life as a fine, upstanding citizen. He even rekindles a romance with his ex-lover. However, Carlito’s associates cannot seem to leave him in peace…his nephew involves him a pool-room gunfight, his lawyer asks him for “favors” which spiral out of control, and even an old friend tries to get him into trouble with the law. Carlito decides to make a run for Florida and the promise of a new life, but has one final dramatic escape to make from some hoods who believe (wrongly) that he was behind the murder of their boss.

9th Place

Donnie Brasco (1997)

In the 1970s, FBI Agent Joe Pistone goes undercover and infiltrates the mob in New York City. Using the name Donnie Brasco, he befriends a ‘made’ mafioso Benjamin ‘Lefty’ Ruggiero. As time goes by, Pistone begins to identify and care for his mafia friends, especially Lefty. Pistone is married and has children but he is away for weeks or months at a time eventually leading to his wife asking for a divorce. When he stops reporting to the FBI daily as is required, his superiors decide the time has come to pull the plug on the operation. Based on a true story.

8th Place

The Untouchables (1987)

A depiction of the mob warlord who ruled Prohibition-era Chicago . . . and the law enforcer who vowed to bring him down. Stars Kevin Costner as Eliot Ness, Robert De Niro as gangland kingpin Al Capone and Sean Connery as Malone, the cop who teaches Ness how to beat the mob: shoot fast and shoot first.

7th Place

Leon (The Professional) (1994)

Leon is a first-class hit man, but is also a sensitive guy who loves his potted plants. He is moral: “No women, no children” is his professional motto. He is sympathetic to his neighbor, Mathilda, a typically rebellious twelve-year-old who has trouble with her family. But when her father runs afoul of drug kingpin Norman Stansfield, Mathilda turns to Leon for assistance.

6th Place

Heat (1995)

Michael Mann borrowed from one of his earlier TV efforts to create this tale of a cop and criminal who are two sides of the same coin, and at an epic but taut 172 minutes, this film fully explores the insular world of LA criminals and the men and women who pursue them. Featuring a historic showdown between Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, actors exercising muscles that so rarely get a workout, the film’s centerpiece conflict becomes a metaphor not only for the steely professionalism and dedication of modern masculinity, but the verisimilitude of men from different backgrounds and how a few lifestyle choices can find them at odds. Meanwhile, Mann elevates action to new levels of expertise, from the daring heist that opens the film to the foot chase that closes it; but in the modern erta, there are few films as solidly made or masterfully rendered as this white-hot crime classic.

5th Place

Scarface (1983)

When Castro opened the port at Mariel Harbor, thousands of Cubans fled to the United States. One is a young tough named Antonio (Tony) Montana, who, with his friend Manny Ray, starts in with Miami’s cocaine trade. He survives attack by chainsaw after a deal goes bad, and several other attempts by other dealers to eliminate him. Eventually the grandiose Montana becomes head of a cocaine cartel. But his enemies start coming after him, and his paranoia threatens to drive Montana’s empire into the ground…

4th Place

City of God (2002)

Brazil, 1960’s, City of God. The Tender Trio robs motels and gas trucks. Younger kids watch and learn well…too well. 1970’s: Li’l Zé has prospered very well and owns the city. He causes violence and fear as he wipes out rival gangs without mercy. His best friend Bené is the only one to keep him on the good side of sanity. Rocket has watched these two gain power for years, and he wants no part of it. Yet he keeps getting swept up in the madness. All he wants to do is take pictures. 1980’s: Things are out of control between the last two remaining gangs…will it ever end? Welcome to the City of God.

3th Place

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield are two hitmen on the hunt for a briefcase whose contents were stolen from their boss, Marsellus Wallace. They run into a few unexpected detours along the road. Marsellus is out of town, and he’s gotten Vincent to take care of his wife, Mia. That is, take her out for a night on the town. Things go smoothly until one of them makes a huge error. Butch Coolidge is a boxer who’s been approached by Marsellus and been told to throw his latest fight. When Butch ends up killing the other boxer, he must escape Marsellus. Pumpkin and Honey Bunny (not their real names) are two lovebirds/thieves who have decided to rob the restaurant they’re currently eating at. But the restaurant doesn’t turn out to be as easy as the other places they’ve robbed.

2th Place

GoodFellas (1990)

Henry Hill is a small time gangster, who takes part in a robbery with Jimmy Conway and Tommy De Vito, two other gangsters who have set their sights a bit higher. His two partners kill off everyone else involved in the robbery, and slowly start to climb up through the hierarchy of the Mob. Henry, however, is badly affected by his partners success, but will he stoop low enough to bring about the downfall of Jimmy and Tommy?

1th Place

The Godfather (1972)

Vito Corleone is the aging don (head) of the Corleone Mafia Family. His youngest son Michael has returned from WWII just in time to see the wedding of Connie Corleone (Michael’s sister) to Carlo Rizzi. All of Michael’s family is involved with the Mafia, but Michael just wants to live a normal life. Drug dealer Virgil Sollozzo is looking for Mafia Families to offer him protection in exchange for a profit of the drug money. He approaches Don Corleone about it, but, much against the advice of the Don’s lawyer Tom Hagen, the Don is morally against the use of drugs, and turns down the offer. This does not please Sollozzo, who has the Don shot down by some of his hit men. The Don barely survives, which leads his son Michael to begin a violent mob war against Sollozzo and tears the Corleone family apart.

Movie Training: How A Small Film Comes To Life.

From the ten minute short films that you have seen on web sites to the multi-million dollar block buster movies that invade the local theaters; there is a process to producing movies. For many up and coming film makers, the process begins with Filmmaking Courses at either a film college or film university. After graduation, many of these film students will then go to the next level, actually trying to come up with the script, the location, the cast and the time to actually shoot a real film, no matter how long it may be.

For every aspiring film maker who gets to live his dream, there are twenty more that do not. Movie training is expensive and many of the best film schools are also very exclusive meaning that not everyone who has the cash and the desire to attend will be allowed to. Many of them require a lengthy application process including a filmmaking effort before they even take the first filmmaking course or anything else. The better the school’s name and reputation, the stiffer the competition for the open spaces and the fewer spaces there will be.

For most of film courses, there will of course be lectures and discussions and usually some assignments, but there are additional aspects that should be considered about the film courses. Can you really learn how to frame a shot if you do not have a basic eye for composition? Can you really learn how to have the heart and soul of a filmmaker if what truly lurks inside of you is an accountant? Everyone at some time has thought that they would have done a movie differently but not everyone really has the talent to do so- there are some innate qualities that have to exist, some inner, underlying talents that can be developed and nurtured. You cannot learn any of these things, not even in the very best of film courses in the very best film university.

For many of the short, more arty films, they are born in the mind of the filmmaker and then brought to life in the course of movie training, often as the culmination of the film education. Really stand out small films might end up screening at film festivals while others get relegated to a few viewing on the internet and then fade to black.

If you have that vision in your mind and want to bring it to life, you might be concerned that you will never see your film made, especially if you have investigated the price and the difficulty of getting into a film college. There are alternatives of course, including learning as you go and the selecting low cost alternatives to Movie Training. You do not have to try to muddle your way through your vision. You do not have to put yourself into major debt with the effort of paying for film study and training. There are other choices.
